After the highly anticipated launch of the latest Android Operating System, Android Oreo Go, Google announced their plans to develop and introduce a few lighter versions of their existing Android applications known as Go apps. Google has confirmed that these new Go apps will offer the same functions as their parent app but they will be of lower size, which means that these apps will consume only a small portion of the internal memory of your Android device.
Google recently released a new app, titled as ‘Google Maps GO’ but the sad part is that this app is currently unavailable in the Android Play Store. Moreover, Android device users whose phones and tablets are running on the normal Android version will be not able to download the app too. Fortunately, we have a solution on how to download and install ‘Google Maps GO’ app on your Android device.
- The first thing you should is to open the Google Chrome on your Android device and paste the following link into the address bar. https://www.google.com/maps/?force=qVTs2FOxxTmHHo79-pwa
- Once you have pasted the link, load the website and wait until the website loads.
- You will now be able to see three dots on the top right corner of your screen. Tap the ‘Add to home screen’ option before proceeding to the next step.
- All you need to do is to add the shortcut to your phone or tablet. Once you have added the shortcut, you will be able to see the app on your Android device. You will now be able to access the app whenever you want by simply tapping on the icon of the app.
If you are still not able to use this app on your Android device, it is best to get in touch with an expert technician.
